Physical Media Delivery

We can accept any tape format listed on this page. Tapes, USB drives or SD cards can be dropped off to Media Production in Room 249 of Leutze Hall on the UNCW campus (map). Call to make arrangements for a drop off time.

Digital Delivery

We have an FTP server that can be used to upload your files directly to us. If you are familiar with FTP this is the fastest way to deliver your material to us. The server is located at sftp://mediaserve.uncw.edu. Please use an FTP client to access the server. Contact Chip Bobbert (bobbertd@uncw.edu or 910-962-7001) to obtain an access password.

Copyright policy Statement

UNCW Media Production will not duplicate, assist in duplicating, or advise you on how to duplicate any media asset for which you or UNCW are not the copyright owner or have have written permission from the copyright holder allowing you to duplicate.

The "Dub Station"

The Department of Media Production maintains a comprehensive and professional duplication, mastering, transfer and authoring center. We have the ability to transfer many modern formats from one type to another. We also have the technology to update older formats to new standards. Lastly, we can take many popular physical media formats and update them to file formats you can distribute through the web, on thumb drives, keep on your laptop to show on a projector. All of our equipment is digital and of the highest professional grade.

Rates

Substantial support and maintenance is required to keep this system operational. Additionally, there is considerable consumable material involved. As such, we are required to recover costs for this service.
