Important Dates
- June 20th deadline for all travel to be submitted to the Travel Office to be paid out of current year.
- June 20th deadline for Agency Airfare to be purchase from this years budget.
- June 20th last day to use Visa Travel Card for transactions to post to this years budget.
- The deadlne for travel check run is Friday at 10:45 a.m. for a check/direct deposit the following Friday.

Through Maupin Travel, you have your choice of booking your travel on a customized online booking tool or through one of our friendly and experienced travel consultants. For first time users of the online booking tool please contact the UNCW Travel Office to receive your user name and password.

Maupin Travel is also a certified vendor through the General Services Administration (GSA) as a veteran-owned agency in the event you are required to use such an agency for any federal monies you may have received.

FTI is a full-service travel agency, offering international air & land arrangements, travel insurance & for more than 30 years. They specialize in partnering with faculty members to create study abroad, service-learning and volunteer trips. Their relationships with in-country vendors give them the ability to craft custom itineraries designed around the school’s curriculum. Thus, students and faculty can take advantage of unique experiences relevant to their coursework.
In the past year alone, they’ve served approximately 200 collegiate clients (both individual institutions and consortiums). So, they are familiar with the specific needs associated with this type of travel, including: safety and security, itineraries, and meeting a professor’s expectations for his or her course. I have been an agent in Wilmington for 28 years, since opening Allen Travel with my husband Vic in 1984. I have enjoyed many wonderful years of working with UNCW travelers, and am happy to be able to do so under my company's new name, Travel Divas. (I share the premises here at Landfall Center with The Traveler Store, Vic's luggage and travel accessory store.) My parent company, Travel Experts, is located in Raleigh and is a major agency, with Virtuoso designation. Through my association with them, I am able to offer superior travel assistance to individuals and groups.
