Assist with Ceremony
UNCW employees are needed to help with the Commencement ceremonies. Employees can choose to work one or multiple ceremonies. Duties may include passing out programs, traffic control, directing guests to seats, etc. Employees play a very important role and help leave a lasting and positive impression on our graduates and their families.
Sign up to assist with the ceremonies
Employees sign up online to assist with the Commencement ceremonies. Before signing up, decide which shift you plan to work. You must be available for the complete shift. After you decide on the shift, submit the Assist with Commencement Survey. You will receive a confirmation email immediately after submission. Keep this confirmation email for your records.
Commencement is Compensable
Working at Commencement is compensable at UNCW. Employees must receive supervisor's permission before signing up to assist. Supervisors can work with employees in adjusting the work schedule for Commencement or providing compensatory time off.
