Fort Fisher Aquarium

The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher allows you to feel the smooth skin of a gliding stingray, look into the eyes of an albino aligator, watch jellyfish float tranquilly, and learn about learn about one of the biggest sharks that ever swam off our coast, the Megalodon.

Ghost Walk of Old Wilmington

Each Ghost Walk of Old Wilmington tour is 90-minutes and depart every evening at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm from the Riverfront at Market and Water Streets downtown. Please make reservations for the date you would like to go once you pick up your free ticket voucher (reservations are necessary). Call 910.794.1866 to book your date.

Hollwood Location Walk invites you to join one of the Hollywood East's most entertaining & self-important directors on a name dropping, movie & TV extravaganza through one of America's largest living film sets --Wilmington, NC!

Airlie Gardens Concerts

The Airlie Gardens Concert Series features an eclectic mix of music performances. Airlie Gardens is a 67-acre seaside oasis of flora and fauna that provides a magical venue for this annual summer entertainment held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first and third Fridays of each month in the summer. Take the FREE TROLLEY from 5335 Oleander Drive, which is the old Cinema 6 parking lot across from Jungle Rapids, near campus.

Cameron Art Museum

Cameron Art Museum is sited on a 9.3 acre woodland park known as Pyramid Park, featuring long-leaf pine woodlands, outdoor sculptures, nature trails, a historic Civil War site and The Clay Studio housed in the Pancoe Art Education Center.

Jungle Rapids Water Park

Water slides, wave pools, and more! Beat the heat by cooling down at Jungle Rapids Water Park, this summer. 50 discounted tickets are available for students to purchase at Sharky's Box Office. Tickets: $10 (Limit 2 tickets per registered student).
Jungle Rapids Water Park is located near campus at 5320 Oleander Drive.

Sharky's Game Room
Open for Summer Session 1 ! Mon-Thurs, 11 am - 4 pm

Sharky's Game Room is UNCW's premiere gaming and entertainment destination. Enjoy playing games on our two pool tables. Experience Xbox One in our large-screen electronic gaming lounge, while selecting from our library of nearly 40 games. Bring a friend for a fun round of ping pong. Sharky's sells a variety of drinks and snacks at affordable prices. There is also plenty of room to hang out between classes, eat your lunch, have a group meeting or study after or before class.

Summer Movies @ the Lake

The Sunday before Memorial Day something special happens on Pleasure Island - FREE Movies! Starting May 28 through September 4, vacationers as well as residents from Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Wilmington grab their kids, blankets and beach chairs and head to the lake in Carolina Beach to enjoy a FREE Outdoor movie on a 'gigantic' screen! Movie goers can purchase cotton candy, popcorn, candy, soft drinks and much more. You can also bring your own food and beverages. Movies start at dusk.

Enjoy live music by the Cape Fear River! The Downtown Sundown Concert Series 2017 schedule presents tribute and party bands on Fridays from 6 - 10 p.m. from May 26 through September 1.

32nd Carolina Beach Music Festival

On Saturday, June 3, 'shaggers' of all ages can enjoy a day of live entertainment with the hottest beach music bands in the South. All three bands offer that laid-back style of rhythm and blues with deep roots in the Carolina Coast. The gates will open at 10 am with the first band hitting the stage at 11 am. This year's line-up:

This annual, fun filled event is one of the longest running Beach Music festivals in the United States.  Tickets to the 32nd Annual Carolina Beach Music Festival are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate (cash only).  Advance tickets will be  available through EVENTBRITE on-line (credit only).  Beginning May 1st, tickets will be available at  the Pleasure Island Chamber, Island Tackle & Hardware, Siver Dollar and Olde Salty’s in Carolina Beach (cash/check only).
