Cameron Art Museum



Cameron Art Museum is sited on a 9.3 acre woodland park known as Pyramid Park, featuring long-leaf pine woodlands, outdoor sculptures, nature trails, a historic Civil War stie and The Clay Studio housed in the Pancoe Art Education Center.

Airlie Gardens Concerts









The Airlie Gardens Concert Series features an eclectic mix of music performances. Airlie Gardens is a 67-acre seaside oasis of flora and fauna that provides a magical venue for this annual summer entertainment held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first and third Fridays of each month in the summer. Take the FREE TROLLEY from 5335 Oleander Drive, which is the old Cinema 6 parking lot across from Jungle Rapids, near campus.

Sharky's Game Room


Open for the Summer Session 1 ! Mon-Thurs, 10 am - 4 pm

Sharky's Game Room is UNCW's premiere gaming and entertainment destination. Enjoy playing games on our four billiards tables. Experience Xbox 360 in our large-screen electronic gaming lounge, while selecting from our library of nearly 60 games. Show off your footwork on the Dance Dance Revolution machine (DDR). Bring a friend for a fun round of ping pong. Sharky's sells a variety of drinks and snacks at affordable prices.

Wilmington Ghost Walk




Each Wilmington Ghost Walk tour is 90-minutes and depart every evening at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm from the Riverfront at Market and Water Streets downtown. Please make reservations for the date you would like to go once you pick up your free ticket voucher (reservations are necessary). Call 910.794.1866 to book your date.

Jungle Rapids Water Park




Water slides, wave pools, and more! Beat the heat by cooling down at Jungle Rapids Water Park, this summer. 50 discounted tickets are available for students to purchase at Sharky’s Box Office. Tickets: $10 (Limit 2 tickets per registered student).
Jungle Rapids Water Park is located near campus at 5320 Oleander Drive.

Summer Movies @ the Lake









The Sunday before Memorial Day something special happens on Pleasure Island - FREE Movies!  Starting May 29th through September 4th, vacationers as well as residents from Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Wilmington grab their kids, blankets and beach chairs and head to the lake in Carolina Beach to enjoy a FREE Outdoor movie on a 'gigantic' screen!  Movie goers can purchase cotton candy, popcorn, candy, soft drinks and much more.  You can also bring your own food and beverages. Movies start at dusk.

Downtown Sundown Summer Concert Series



Enjoy live music by the Cape Fear River! The Downtown Sundown Concert Series 2016 schedule presents tribute and party bands on Fridays from 6 - 10 p.m. from May 27 through September 2.

31st Carolina Beach Music Festival

 On Saturday, June 4th, ‘shaggers’ of all ages can enjoy a day of live entertainment with the hottest beach music bands in the South.  All three bands offer that laid-back style of rhythm and blues with deep roots in the Carolina Coast.  The gates will open at 10:00 am with the first band hitting the stage at 11:00 am.  This year’s line-up:

1:00 – 2:30


3:00 – 4:30


This annual, fun filled event is one of the longest running Beach Music festivals in the United States.  Tickets to the 31st Annual Carolina Beach Music Festival are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate (cash only).  Advance tickets are available through EVENTBRITE on-line (credit only).  Beginning May 1st, tickets will be available at  the Pleasure Island Chamber, Island Tackle & Hardware, Siver Dollar and Olde Salty’s in Carolina Beach (cash/check only).
