Diversity Committee
Mission statement
The Diversity Committee, appointed by the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs in October 2006, shall be responsible for identifying staff training and development initiatives, staff recruitment and retention activities, and student education. The committee shall present their recommendations for action on an on-going basis.
We offer programs and developmental opportunities for student development and education. Furthermore, the Diversity Committee will work on the following areas to best serve our students:
- Orientation
- UNI Presentations & Coordination (in conjunction with University College)
- UNCW Leadership Certificate – Social Justice Track (in conjunction with the CLES Office)
- Student Training
- UNCWelcome speaker/training & SOLC
