Your Refunds Are Easier With The Seahawk Card
The Seahawk Card signifies your status as an active member of the University of North Carolina Wilmington community and provides you with options on how to receive your financial refund.
How are UNCW refunds delivered to students?
Each registered UNCW student will receive a Seahawk Card. Your card will arrive in the mail at your permanent address on file with the University. Your card may not be forwarded from any address. To receive your refund, you must activate your card. Activating the card does not mean that you are agreeing to allow your funds to be deposited to the card. During card activation, you will choose how to receive your refund money. If you want faster access to your funds, simply choose to have your refunds deposited directly into your Higher One OneAccount. Activate your card and make your refund selection online at https://seahawkcard.com/.
What are my options for receiving financial aid or other refunds?
Your options include having your refund:
1. Directly deposited to your Higher One OneAccount
2. Deposited to another bank of your choice.
Why is my permanent address on file with UNCW so important?
The permanent address on file with UNCW on Oct 15th is the address where the Seahawk Card will be mailed. Each student will receive this card at no cost in November. If you do not receive your card because your address is not valid or there is a forwarding order on this address, your replacement card will cost you $20.00. All UNCW refunds will be processed by HigherOne. Failure to activate your status with HigherOne will prevent you from receiving your refunds.
