Seahawk Village

The Seahawk Village Apartments is a lease-based area that consists of six upperclassmen residential buildings that house Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors and Graduate Students. Each building houses roughly 85 residents in 2-4 person suites with single bedrooms. Each apartment is fully furnished with a bed, dresser, desk and chair for each bedroom, a dining table and chairs, 2 bar chairs, a couch, chair, coffee table and end table. The kitchen includes a microwave, range/stove, refrigerator and dishwasher as well as a double sink, numerous cupboards for storage and multiple outlets for appliances. Cable television and wireless internet are provided, as well as a phone line in each bedroom that allows for domestic and long-distance calls for free.

Students who live in the Seahawk Village have plentiful parking near their area of residence as well as a Clubhouse that is used only by Village residents. The Clubhouse houses the main desk which is staffed 24 hours a day to assist with keys and emergency maintenance issues. Also at the clubhouse is a large, open living room with couches, chairs, tables and a television for programming events or personal use by residents. There is a conference room available for reservation by all Village residents that can be used for meetings, conferences, programs, or parties. The room provides tables and chairs as well as a dry-erase board.

In addition to the space provided within the clubhouse, residents may also enjoy a gated swimming pool and outdoor grill, with restrooms available. The Village clubhouse and apartments are handicap accessible and each building has an elevator, in addition to stairs.

Village residents who are looking to get involved have a number of opportunities to do so right within our area! As with all residential areas, the Seahawk Village maintains a student group called Area  Chapter that meets once a week to give a voice to Village residents. The executive board and membership is entirely comprised of Village residents and in addition to discussing problems, concerns, and ideas for improvement, the Area Chapter also works to provide programming opportunities for the Village area both as a student group as well as through partnership with the Residence Life staff.
