College Mentor
Position Summary

CROSSROADS Prevention and Education Partnership College Mentors are paraprofessionals hired to promote substance abuse prevention on campus and at New Hanover County High Schools through educational programming, service and outreach efforts of CROSSROADS Prevention and Education Partnership.

College Mentors are expected to commit to working 12 hours each week throughout the school year and to demonstrate:

CROSSROADS College Mentors gain skills in communication, organization, time management, program development and design, evaluation techniques, recruiting, training, supervision of peer educators, the use of audiovisual equipment, office management, and presentation/teaching methods. A College Mentor's duties include the following:
