The CARE peer educators is a group of UNCW students whose goal is to reduce the risk of sexual assault and sexual harassment in the hopes of elimination. This goal is realized through interactive presentations, awareness campaigns and programs that reach out to University students, high school students and the Wilmington community. This group started as UNCW’s student-led Reach Out! program in 1999. Since then, it has continued to bring female and male students together who are dedicated to taking an active approach to ending violence against women and men.

I'm a CARE Peer Educator because I believe it is important to educate college students about relationships and remind them that they aren't alone with any issues they might be having. College is a new and exciting environment that can present many challenges, and knowing there is a program on campus that reaches our to help with some of those challenges can be very reassuring for someone.
