RN-BS Student Achieves MSA Proclamation

While visiting New Mexico this winter and working on a class assignment that required a letter be written to a legislator, Vanessa Marzilli (RN-BS '18) sent a proclamation request to New Mexico governor Susan Martinez. Her request was to name March the Multi System Atrophy (MSA) month in New Mexico. Marzilli’s mother, who was diagnosed with this degenerative and terminal neurological disorder, represented the MSA coalition in making the request. Her request was approved by the governor, thereby spreading awareness of the disease. Marzilli, who was born and raised in New Mexico but currently resides in NC with her family.  She reports that she is thrilled to be able to give her mother a small victory. No doubt she received an A+ on the assignment.
