Nu Omega Chapter Research Day

The Nu Omega Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society conducted its 23rd Annual Research Conference on Nov. 4. The conference consisted of four podium and eight poster presentations. Awards were announced to presenters in various categories:

Patty White Accepting AwardThe Research Poster Presentation Award to Patty White (pictured left in photo on left), who presented “Healthcare for Cancer Survivors and Families: Preparing Students through Interprofessional Education, Simulation, and the Use of Standardized Patients.” Others who worked on this project included Lisa Sprod (School of Health and Applied Sciences) and Jacqueline Lee (School of Social Work). 

Andrea Smith AcceptingThe Student Research Podium Presentation Award to Andrea Smith (pictured left in photo on right), graduate nursing student, for the project “Use of Paseo Opioid-induced Sedation Scale in Pediatric Patients." Others who collaborated on this project were Gayle Thear, Emily Miller-Baldwin and Ann Quinlan-Colwell

April Matthias AwardThe Non-student Research Podium Presentation Award to April Matthias (pictured left in photo on left) for her project “The Unique Experience and Professional Identity and Role Development of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps University of Cincinnati Accelerated BSN Program Graduates, 1943-46.”
