What is GSA?
The Graduate Student Association is open to all graduate students at UNCW,
enrolled full or part time who maintain a satisfactory academic standing.
What is the purpose and mission of
GSA?
To encourage, recognize, and assist all graduate students academically and
socially, as well as to promote the interests and welfare of graduate students
within the university.
What activities does GSA participate
in?
GSA strives to support the community and university through volunteerism and
education. Past participation has included the 3rd annual 'Walk for those who
can't' and the End of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week. GSA also plans
events for members such as the Kayak and Camp on Masonboro Island trip.
What are the benefits of joining GSA?
GSA funding is available in the form of research grants
Departments in
good standing with GSA are eligible to apply for the funds available for
graduate student travel or equipment requests.
When does GSA meet?
Once per month, usually on Sunday evenings.
