- 2010-2011 Community Health Education National Certification Test results from the National Commission for Health Education CHES exam: UNCW's CHE students' pass rate was 100% (the national pass rate was 75.31%).
- Between May 2008 and October 2010, 42 UNCW Recreation Therapy graduates took the National Certification Exam . . . 83.3% passed the exam compared to the national average of 66.3%.
- Miriam "Mim" Lewis received the Hoggard Medal for Achievement in Spring 2011, an award presented annually to a student that has shown the most improvement during his or her years at the university.
