Senior citizens who wish to take courses for credit must apply through the Admissions Office.
Senior citizens who wish to audit a course must complete and submit the Audit Application / Registration form, along with a $75 application fee, to the Office of the Registrar.
The $75 application fee is waived for UNC Wilmington graduates. Senior Citizens, who have been away from the university for at least two (2) consecutive semesters, will need to pay the $75 application fee. UNC Wilmington faculty and staff may check with Human Resources to see if you are eligible for the Application Fee Benefit.
If you register for more than four (4) credit hours, you will need to comply with the immunization requirements under North Carolina state law. Please contact Student Health Services at (910) 962-3280 for more information.
Main Campus vs. Extension Tuition and Fees
A full-time regular-term student is an undergraduate student that is enrolled in 12 or more on-campus courses or a graduate student enrolled in 9 or more on-campus courses. These students will be billed the ‘campus’ tuition and fees rates for all courses (including extension courses).
Students enrolled in a combination of campus and extension courses (not meeting the definition of full-time regular-term student) will be billed at campus rates for main campus courses and billed at the extension rates for distance education courses (section 800).
Note: Full-time enrollment status may be determined differently for purposes other than tuition billing; i.e. financial aid.
