Front Counter Hours of Operation during this time:

8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday
8:00am – 11:30 a.m on Fridays

The Office of the Registrar, located in James Hall, supports UNCW’s mission by providing academic support services including student services and academic records management; degree and diploma processing; student academic information systems management; administration of regulations and policies of the Faculty Senate, academic eligibility of athletes and, as prescribed in the policies of the university and the Code of the University of North Carolina, maintenance of archives; and system-wide reporting (in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research) of enrollment, courses and degrees awarded.

• Maintains the academic record of each student who enrolls at the university;
• Provides information about registration, academic records, residence status, and degrees while protecting the privacy of the individual;
• Uses the latest technology and procedures that will enhance student, administrative, and faculty services while ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and security of academic records and information;
• Provides leadership and assistance in the development and modification of policies, procedures, and systems.
