Graduate Program
The Substance Abuse Treatment Psychology (clinical) concentration is a 53 credit hour program that focuses on assessment and the use of psychotherapy in the treatment of substance abuse in adults. This concentration prepares students for the licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Psychological Associate with Health Services Provider certification (LPA-HSP-PA), and for licensure as a Clinical Addictions Specialist (CAS). This concentration takes approximately 21/2 years to complete and includes a six month/1000 hour internship.
