Dr. Nora Noel, Professor
Nora E. Noel, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychology, Licensed Clinical Psychologist (North Carolina and Rhode Island) and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Certification Board). She teaches courses in the area of drug and alcohol abuse and treatment. She has a special interest in diversity and women’s issues in these areas. In addition, Dr. Noel does research on alcohol, caffeine and health, supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health. She has more than thirty peer-reviewed publications and more than 100 research conference presentations. Both Graduate Students and Advanced Undergraduate students are welcome to apply to work with Dr. Noel as laboratory assistants. Undergraduates can earn DIS, Seminar or Honors credits.
