Education
The Swain Center offers a diverse selection of online courses that are facilitated by experienced instructors from our vendors VESi and Ed2Go. Our online courses are affordable, fun, fast, convenient and geared for teachers with busy lifestyles.
Health Profession
The Swain Center works with the College of Health and Human Services to offer affordable, online continuing education units (CEUs) for social workers and others in the healthcare industry.
Military
The Swain Center engages the United States Marine Corps (USMC) -- Camp Johnson and Camp Geiger-- as well as civil service and law enforcement agencies in continuing education. Programs offered to the USMC include the UNCW Certified Trainer Program which bridges the gap between military and civilian training. The Program provides students with the skills needed to translate teaching abilities and curriculum development skills from the military to the private sector.
Government
The Swain Center has worked with various government organizations in the past on personalized programs and facilitations such as the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority, the City of Wilmington, and NC State Ports.
Business
The knowledge gained from business disciplines can be used across almost all industries. Project management, finance, marketing, and other skills can be applied to multiple careers. In addition, the Swain Center provides facilitation services to companies and organizations in the region.
