Arguably the world’s most well-known fisheries scientist, Dr. Daniel Pauly is certainly the most prolific and widely cited. Described as an “iconoclastic global thinker” (The Green Review), Pauly received international attention for his development of FishBase, an encyclopedia of more than 30,000 fish species, and Ecopath, an ecosystems modeling program. Pauly brings his global perspective and passion for conservation to fisheries, striving to promote a healthier ocean and consequently, a better planet.
