Minor in Public Administration
The undergraduate minor in Public Administration is designed to give students an understanding of process, analysis, and management of public policy in government, nonprofit, and corporate institutions. It seeks to expose students to interdisciplinary tools to help them excel in management and analytical careers in the public and nonprofit sector.
Students from all majors are welcomed and encouraged to boost their careers with this applied and strategic minor.
The Department of Public and International Affairs requires students Minoring in Public Administration to have 24 semester hours distributed as follows:

Culminating Professional or Field Experience (3 hours)

PLS 491 Directed Individual Study (a practicum in PA)
PLS 494 Transnational Politics Study Abroad II (specific focus on public or nonprofit dynamics and structures)
PLS 498 Internship in Political Science (placement in public/nonprofit agency)
