UNCW MEAL PLAN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Signing-Up

    1. Students may sign-up for a meal plan, after they have registered for classes, by logging onto their MySeaport account and following these instructions:
      1. Log onto MySeaport at http://MySeaport.uncw.edu
      2. Click on the Student Services tab
      3. On the left menu under Services, click on the Student Meal Plan Application
      4. In the Student Meal Plan Application, click Choose Plan and proceed through the selection process.
    2. After a plan is purchased, it will be available for use on the student’s UNCW One Card at the beginning of the purchased semester.

Meal Plan Eligibility

  1. Students living in Traditional Housing (Belk, Galloway, Graham, Hewlett, Schwartz, Cornerstone, Honors, International House, University Apartments, and University Suites) are required to choose from one of the following four meal plans:
    1. Unlimited Plan, 14 Plus, 10 Plus, or Block 140.
      1. If a Meal Plan is not chosen, the 14 Plus plan will automatically be assign
  2. Students living in Non-Traditional Housing (Seahawk Village, Seahawk Landing, and Seahawk Crossing), or students living off campus may choose any meal plan offered.

Meal Plan Procedures

The UNCW ONE CARD may only be used by the individual identified on the card. Students must present their card to the cashier each time they use it in order to obtain services at any dining venue, food truck, or convenience store.
  1. Only the ONE CARD holder may utilize their meal plan and may not sell, loan or allow their card to be used by others.
  2. Students can use their Meal Plan at all dining services locations on campus. To view where Meal Swipes and Food Dollars may be used, visit the Campus Dining website at http://uncw.campusdish.com.
  3. Meal Swipes do NOT carry over from one week to the next on the 10 Plus and 14 Plus plans. All other plans allot meals on a semester basis and Meal Swipes will carry over from one week to the next. (Meal Swipes will reset on the weekly plans (10 Plus and 14 Plus) each Saturday at midnight.)
  4. Food Dollars may be added to the student’s Meal Plan by logging onto their MySeaport account. (A minimum purchase of $50 is required for Food Dollars. Students must have a valid Meal Plan to add Food Dollars. Additional Food Dollars will not show on the account until all previous Food Dollars have been used.)
  5. Meal Swipes may be added to a student’s Meal Plan, ONLY if that plan allots meals on a semester basis and carry over from one week to the next. Students can add-on Meal Swipes in packages of 10, and can be added by logging onto their MySeaport account.
  6. Students can track their meal plan usage of Food Dollars and Meal Swipes on their MySeaport account, or by visiting the UNCW ONE CARD Online Management Center at www.uncw.edu/onecard.
  7. If a student has special dietary needs or restrictions, Campus Dining can accommodate the student to make sure they get the most out of their Meal Plan. Please contact the Campus Nutritionist, Courtney Simmons, simmonsc@uncw.edu or 910-962-7621.

Meal Plan Rolling

Any student signed up for a Fall Semester meal plan will automatically be assigned the same plan for Spring semester.

  1. Meal swipes expire at the end of the semester; unused swipes do NOT roll over to the following semester.
  2. Any Unused Food Dollars will roll from the Summer Sessions, to the Fall semester, to the Spring semester, provided the student is signed-up for a meal plan in the following or roll-to semester. Any unused Food Dollars will expire at the end of the Spring semester.

Meal Plan Changes

  1. Students may change their Meal Plan, according to their housing assignment prior to the end of the change period, by logging onto their MySeaport account. (Change period dates:  http://www.uncw.edu/onecard/studentmealplans.html)
    1. Students living in Traditional Housing (Belk, Galloway, Graham-Hewlett, Schwartz, Cornerstone, Honors, International House, University Apartments, and University Suites) may change their meal plan to any of the four required Traditional Housing meal plan options: Unlimited Plan, 14 Plus, 10 Plus, or Block 140.
    2. Students living in Non-Traditional Housing (Seahawk Village, Seahawk Crossing, Seahawk Landing), or off campus, may change their meal plan to any meal plan offered.
  2. If a Meal Plan has already been used and the student wishes to change it prior to the end of change period (Change period dates; http://www.uncw.edu/onecard/studentmealplans.html ) they will need to visit the UNCW One Card Office.

Meal Plan Cancellations

  1. Meal Plans may be cancelled in MySeaport during the cancellation period (Current period dates: http://www.uncw.edu/onecard/studentmealplans.html) if a student has graduated or withdrawn from the university, or if a Non-Traditional Housing or Commuter student elects to cancel their automatically assigned Spring semester meal plan prior to the end of the change period (Change period dates; (http://www.uncw.edu/onecard/studentmealplans.html ).  All other emergencies or situations necessitating meal plan cancellations will be handled on an individual basis by contacting the UNCW One Card Office at 910-962-3560 or mealplans@uncw.edu.
  2. NO REFUNDS will be issued for unused Meal Plans at the end of the semester.
