Constituents

Professor DluhyMilan Dluhy, Former Chair of the Department of Political Science and professor of public administration passed away November 2015. Milan has been granted Professor Emeritus Status, posthumously, by his colleagues in the Department of Public and International Affairs, and the MPA Community Advisory Board at UNCW has set up an MPA students Scholarship fund in Milan’s name. 

Paige Tan, assistant chair and professor in Asian, international and comparative politics, took a position as department chair at Radford University in Virginia. We miss her very much.

Roger Lowery completed his third year of phased retirement and has retired from the university after a distinguished career. Lowery served the department in a variety of capacities, most notably as department chair from 2007 to 2011.

Earl Sheridan has completed his term as department chair on June 30, 2015, and has entered phased retirement as of July 1, 2015.

Dan Masters, who was assistant chair, has assumed the role of department chair starting on July 1, 2015.

Jennifer Horan was chosen as associate director of the UNCW’s Honors College.

Stephen Meinhold, after years as associate dean of research, has rejoined the department full-time and will resume his former duties as pre-law advisor.
