The University of North Carolina Wilmington is pleased to announce the Third Annual UNCW Honor Band Festival for high school students. In addition to working with Director of Bands Dr. John LaCognata and Guest Conductor Patricia Hughes (Cedar Ridge HS), the festival will include a concert by the UNCW Wind Symphony, a lunchtime concert by the UNCW Faculty Woodwind and Brass Quintets, full ensemble rehearsals, and master classes by the UNCW Department of Music applied faculty. The UNCW Honor Band Festival will conclude on Saturday afternoon with a Finale Concert. Participants for the Festival will be selected based on their musical accomplishments and their director's assessment and recommendation.
