MarineQuest Scouts

Welcome to MarineQuest scout programs, your porthole to marine and environmental science education adventures in coastal North Carolina. Experience the wonders of the coast with your scouts through hands-on classroom, field and lab activities. MarineQuest offers a variety of unique opportunities. See below for a badge or patch program that fits your troops goal.

Boy Scout Programs

Oceanography Badge (ages 12 - 17) - For Privately Organized Groups
A full day of classroom, laboratory and field activities based out of the UNCW Center for Marine Science designed to assist Boy Scouts in completing 8 of the 9 requirements for Oceanography.

MarineQuest Scouts Jamboree (Oceanography Badge ages 12 - 17) - For individual Scout or Small Group Sign-Up
A full day of classroom, laboratory and field activities based out of the UNCW Center for Marine Science designed to assist Boy Scouts in completing 8 of the 9 requirements for Oceanography.

Custom Badge (ages 7 & up)
A full day or half day of classroom, laboratory and field activities based out of the UNCW Center for Marine Science custom designed by the MarineQuest Staff to meet your topic of interest.

Girl Scout Programs

From Shore to Sea IP Patch (ages 11 - 17) - For Privately Organized Groups
A full day of classroom, laboratory and field activities based out of the UNCW Center for Marine Science designed to assist Girl Scouts in completing all but the service project requirement for this patch.
