MarineQuest Airline Shuttle Information
MarineQuest programs are based out of UNCW's main campus at 601 South College Road, Wilmington, NC 28403. The campus is located approximately 7 miles (15-20 minute drive) from Wilmington International Airport (ILM).
For your convenience, MarineQuest staff can pick-up your child from ILM on the first day of camp and drop them off on the final day of camp at no cost. This service is provided only on the first and last day of camp.
Preferred Arrival and Departure Times:
Arrivals should be on the first day of the program (Sunday). Arrival times should be selected between a 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm time frame (when possible)
Departures should be on the last day of the program (Friday). Departure times should be selected between a 11:30 - 2:30 pm time frame (when possible)
If your arrival or departure flight times can not be booked between the above listed time frames, you must contact the MarineQuest office at firstname.lastname@example.org or (910) 962-2640 before booking your flight for special approval and to confirm that staff is available for airport pick-up or drop-off.
MarineQuest Online Airport Shuttle Request Form:
To arrange for an airport pick-up or drop-off, your are required to complete the online MarineQuest Airline Shuttle Request (link coming Fall 2016) form. Please follow-up with all airport requests by phone to ensure that the request has been received.
ILM is served by US Airways (American Airlines) and Delta. Check with the airlines for details/restrictions about children flying alone. Generally, airlines require an additional fee as well as forms listing the exact information about the individual(s) meeting your child.
Before making your airline reservation, contact the MarineQuest office at (910) 962-2640 to confirm the availability of a staff member to meet your child and receive contact information for the MarineQuest staff member who will meet your child at ILM.
NOTE: Your child must have a form of legal identification with them to get on the plane for their trip home.
