Latin American Studies Minor requirements
The requirements for the Latin American Studies Minor are:
Completion of 21 hours of course work from five of six possible substantive areas; Anthropology, Geography, History, Political Science, Portuguese, Spanish..
At least one course each from five of the six areas:
ANT 304, 307, 310, 315, 317
GGY 383, 384. 386
HST 367, 368, 369, 370, 485
PLS 331, 332, 333
PRT 210, 312, 322, 422
SPN 210, 212, 304, 307, 308, 312, 322, 412, 422
Students must complete one Spanish or Portuguese course at the 300 level or higher.
Substitutions will be approved for topic courses, seminars, field work and or study abroad that focuses primarily on Latin American issues. Students must have a "C" (2.0) average in all courses counted toward the minor.
