What is Flash?

Adobe Flash is a media player and a development environment. We use the Flash player on campus to bring rich content to your browser. Flash offers a consistent media experience across operating systems and browsers providing the same great experience in every classroom and lab.

What is streaming?

Unlike a podcast, streaming audio and video plays as it is received; the user doesn't wait for it to download first [View sample]. At UNCW, users are not able to save streaming files to their computers.

Streaming also makes it easier to broadcast live events using a simple Web camera!

Uploading Media Content

1. The TealVision interface enables you to upload your media content to the ITSD Flash media server.
