Located in B1NAR1ES in The Fisher University Union, Room 1002, the Dell Warranty Service Center will perform warranty hardware service on all Dell systems purchased through the UNCW Student Computer Initiative.
Note: Software issues should be directed to the Technology Assistance Center (TAC).
- The Warranty Service Center will verify warranty status before beginning work
on your system. - Normal warranty work can be performed within two days but, if your computer
needs to be held for a number of days, a loaner laptop can be arranged if necessary. - You can drop off or pick up your system anytime during the hours listed on the B1NAR1ES home page or stop by for assistance.
- Protecting data is the responsibility of the individual. All hard drives or other storage devices should be backed up prior to requesting service. However, if you purchase an external hard drive in B1NAR1ES, we can assist you with backing up your data.
- Important reminder: keep all CD's you receive with your laptop, including the
shrink wrap! If you ever need your laptop hard drive wiped or replaced you will
need your Microsoft Office CD and the installation code (on the shrink wrapped
label) to reinstall Office.
