In order to work from home, the first thing you will need to do is set up your work computer for remote desktop connections - Please note that your work computer must be turned on in order to gain access to it via remote desktop (you can lock your computer or log off of your profile, but the computer must be turned on).

Next, set up your home computer or laptop for VPN (if you have a laptop you can test it at the Technology Assistance Center to verify that your VPN connection will work at home). Please note that you must have an internet connection at home in order to access the UNCW Network.

You may also check out software for your home computer in preparation for working from home. You will need a "work at home" license for Adobe software products.

To check your voicemail from home, you will need to dial (910) 962-3939 and follow the prompts as normal.
