Apple Engineer on Campus for Free Info Sessions

Learn more about iOS 7, Mac OS X Mavericks and Digital Publishing from an Apple expert! B1NAR1ES Technology Store is bringing an Apple Senior Systems Engineer to the UNCW campus for information sessions on November 7 and 8. There will be two “open to the campus” sessions in Randall Library on Thursday and one faculty / staff event in the Education Building on Friday. Each session focuses on specific topics, so check out the full details below. 

Thursday, November 7 (Randall Library, first floor near the TAC)

1:30 p.m.

  • iOS 7 - Overview of New Features for iPad and iPhone
    Control Center, AirDrop and smarter multitasking are just a few of the great new features of iOS 7. Come for an overview and see all of the new enhancements.

3:30 p.m.

  • Mac OS X Mavericks – New Tricks and Tips
    200+ new features arrived with Mavericks for your Mac. Find out how to get Mavericks for free and learn some new tricks and tips on using the newest operating system on your Mac.


Friday, November 8 (Education Building, Room 162)

10 a.m.

  • Digital Publishing for Mobile Learning Initiatives
    This session will focus on using iBooks Author, iTunes U and Course Manager to easily customize and personalize the learning experience for students.  Learn how to create, organize, and deliver academic lessons with Multi-Touch content through iTunes U to provide 24-7 learning through apps, digital books and your own course materials.
