UNCW was among a select group of prestigious universities who received a "Best myCampus" award for their campus portals at the CampusEAI Consortium's 9th Annual Users Conference, June 13-15. Kevin Violette, Director of IES for Information Technology Systems, was present to receive the award for UNCW's mySeaport campus portal. Violette works closely with CampusEAI to continually enhance mySeaport and its services for students, faculty and staff.
CampusEAI Executive Director Anjli Jain noted in her keynote address that awards were given to Consortium members to honor exemplary achievements in IT fields related to the Consortium. Recipients were chosen based on a variety of metrics, including leadership in new Consortium initiatives, contributions to myCampus development and achievements in portal usage. "We are so happy to honor the members who have gone above and beyond to provide award-winning services to their students, faculty and staff," said Anjli Jain. "We can't wait to see what these institutions can achieve going forward."
