Phone, Network & System Maintenance and Upgrades Successful
Wednesday, March 14, 2012
Information Technology Systems (ITS) has successfully completed the scheduled maintenance work on the campus network and systems. This maintenance period provided ITS staff the opportunity to work on over 150 servers, enhance the phone system in preparation for new features, and finalize the core network upgrade which provides for growth, stability and resiliency.
With this upgrade, one immediate benefit to the campus is a larger email message size limit. The limit has been increased from 10 MB to 25 MB to reflect other email provider standards, such as Gmail which also has a 25 MB email size limit. This new limit pertains to the size of the email messages that faculty, staff and students can send or receive, including attachments.
