International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) provides comprehensive support, advisory services and programs for UNCW's international students, scholars, and their dependents.

The ISSS is here to help students prepare for their studies at UNCW and welcome and assist them once they arrive. For admission information, click here.

The ISSS advises university departments and units on procedures related to the hiring of foreign nationals. ISSS files petitions with the Department of Labor, Department of State and the US Citizenship & Immigration Service to sponsor international faculty and staff for J-1, H-1B and lawful permanent resident status.

All issues relating to J-1 exchange students should be referred to Amy Mabery, coordinator of ISSS, while all issues relating to F-1 degree-seeking students and international faculty & visitors should be referred to Jennifer Fernandez-Villa, director of ISSS.
