Minor in History
The History Department offers a minor in History. We are pleased to announce that, starting Fall 2016, the minor will require 18 hours of History coursework. The new flexible requirements are outlined below. For more information about the 2015-16 minor and how to begin working toward this degree now, please contact the Undergraduate Coordinator, Prof. Candice Bredbenner.
Minor requirements as of Fall 2016 (18 hours):
- 9 hours of core classes (HST 101-HST 250) including at least 3 hours treating the time period before 1500 (HST 101, HST 205, HST 207)
- 9 hours of advanced classes (HST 251-498)
- An overall "C" (2.00) average in required in History courses applied toward the minor, and a grade of "C-" or better is required in each course applied toward the minor.
