With the continued growth of the University and the development of new programs within the Department of Health and Applied Human Sciences, applications are invited for a Lecturer in Athletic Training/Clinical Education Coordinator.
This is a non-tenure-eligible lecturer position appointment for the 2009-10 academic year, renewable for subsequent years to teach in an accredited athletic training education bachelor’s degree program. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate athletic training and department courses; advising students; providing community and university service; and evaluating athletic training students at their clinical affiliate sites. This position is an academic appointment with no athletic team coverage. Required qualifications include a master’s degree in athletic training or related field for the Lecturer position. This position require BOC certification for a minimum of three years, eligibility for NC licensure, experience in the clinical supervision of athletic training students; experience as a clinical coordinator; experience with a CAATE accredited program. A successful record of university teaching athletic training courses is preferred. Appointment will begin August 10, 2009.
