The WSE seeks Assistant/Associate Professor of Special Education for tenure-track position in 10-member Dept. of Early Childhood and Special Education.
Responsibilities: teaching undergraduate special education courses (face-to-face, online/web-enhanced, and possibly extension teaching); supervising student interns; maintaining an active research program; providing leadership in special education; and assisting in ongoing program evaluation and development by program faculty (5.5 tenure track).
Requirements: Doctorate in special education; at least three years experience teaching in public schools; eligible for North Carolina licensure; expertise in technology for online and web-based instruction; and experience and/or demonstrated commitment to field-based, collaborative and multicultural teacher preparation. Candidates must have expertise in intellectual disabilities, applied behavior analysis, and explicit instructional strategies in reading and mathematics and at least one of the following areas - occupational programs or transition programs. Candidates must exemplify commitment to teaching, service, and research.
