The University of North Carolina Wilmington’s International Studies program invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-eligible appointment in International Studies at the rank of lecturer starting August 2014.
The teaching load is 4/4, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach the Introduction to International Studies courses and upper-level topics-oriented courses specializing in one of Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America. Preference will be given to applicants with successful college-level, interdisciplinary teaching experience, display evidence of excellence in teaching, and a strong interest in curriculum development. A Ph.D. in International Studies or related discipline must be in hand by August 2014. Applicants are expected to have significant international experience and facility with a language other than English. Salary will depend on qualifications.
