The Director of Work Practice represents the Cameron School of Business to a number of entities on campus and off campus. The primary responsibilities of the position are to coordinate and facilitate internships, jobs, and relationships with businesses with which the CSB works effectively. Working with and through the Cameron Executive Network (CEN) , the director acts as a conduit for entities external to the CSB. The director works with undergraduates and through the graduate program directors and CEN in assisting in student preparation for interviews and resumes. Additionally the position coordinates external activities with alumni working in the business community and shares oversight responsibility for assigned courses.
This position is both internal and external customer focused where the director will leverage the talent and resources of the CSB within the business community. The position is largely centered on opportunities for the Cameron School, to support the business community by providing job ready students for internships and jobs. While the CSB coordinates with Career Services; this is an earlier opportunity (pre-career) for CSB students. Internally, the director will work closely with CSB Dean, the Internship Council, the faculty, staff, alumni, and students of Cameron School of Business. The coordinator will work to develop and maintain relationships with leadership teams of companies, internships and assigned programs within the UNCW service region as well as serve on the University's Outreach Efforts.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a masters’ degree in business administration or other business field such as economics, human resources, organizational development, etc. The successful candidate will have five or more years of work related experience with demonstrated progressive advancement.
