The University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for certified athletic trainer positions. UNC Wilmington is an NCAA Division I program and member of the Colonial Athletic Association. Sport coverage will be as designated by the Director of Sports Medicine. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: injury recognition, evaluation, and treatment; appropriate physician referral, taping, bracing, communication with other staff members, coaches, and administrators where appropriate, and concise documentation of medical records. Individuals should be able to demonstrate knowledge of conference rules.
Required Qualifications: NATABOC certification, Professional Rescuer CPR, First-Aid, and AED certification required; Athletic Training License, or eligible for athletic training licensure in North Carolina. Master’s degree preferred; CSCS or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as athletic trainer at a college/university preferred.
