Employment: Hiring Officials & Supervisors

Human Resources will be holding walk-in hours for PeopleAdmin assistance every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. Human Resources is located in Friday Annex.

State Hiring Process for SHRA Positions:

State and local government hiring supervisors must select the most qualified person from the entire pool of qualified applicants for the position. Human Resources will do an initial screen of applicants and send qualified applicants to the department for review. If requested, the hiring manager has the right to see all applicants. If you would like to view all applicants please contact Catherine Anderson, Employment Services Coordinator, at 2.3160.

HR 3.30 - Position Action Request 
This form must be used to establish an EHRA or SHRA position or to request the reclassification review of an existing SHRA position. It should also be used if any of the following position changes are being requested: 

  • Change funding of a position to facilitate a new hire
  • Transfer of an existing position 
  • Status/FTE change 
  • Abolish a position 
  • In-range salary adjustment/retention salary adjustment 
  • Change from 9 month faculty position to 12 month EPA position 
  • Change from 12 month EPA position to 9 month faculty position
