A hallmark of UNCW is its commitment to mentoring undergraduates in research and scholarly activity. The Honors Scholars Program supports this commitment 100%. Honors houses the Center for the Support of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CSURF), as well as coordinates the departmental honors projects.

There are many opportunities for students to conduct research and present their results to the academic community. Travel awards and fellowships are available.
