Graduation Reception -- Fall 2009
On December 12, 2009, twelve MALS candidates qualified to participate in the time-honored ceremony of graduation. In addition, one student completed the qualifications for the post-master's certificate in Liberal Studies. The MALS candidates were Stephanie M. Austin, Stephen F. Bullard, Deborah Chatkoff, Brian J. Flynn, Robert S. Futch III, Amanda González-Moreno, April P. Heath, Amanda A. Miller, Andrew L. Moore, Stephanie E. Post, Erin D. Sullivan, and Deborah Lynn Jones. Unfortunately, not all of the candidates could attend the reception. Those who did are pictured below.
At the GLS program reception on the evening prior to the main ceremony, those MALS students present received their Acknowledgement of Achievement from the program--the actual degree diplomas are mailed some weeks following the graduation ceremony. There were lots of smiles, some punch and cookies, and pictures of the graduates.
