2013 Internship and Volunteer Fair

The 2013 Internship and Volunteer Fair for UNCW students will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2013, 10am - 1pm, along Chancellor's Walk.

Many thanks to our partnership departments and offices, including the UNCW Career Center, UNCW Women's Studies and Resource Center, and the departments of Chemistry, English, Foreign Languages and Literatures, Geography and Geology, History, International Studies, and Sociology and Criminology.

Information for Agencies

Directions and Parking: Visitor parking is available for all participants in the Lot M (4941 Riegel Road) visitor lot. More information is available on the Parking website. Once you park, walk toward the ponds on campus. Chancellor's Walk is the long sidewalk that runs from main campus to the dorms area. You will see dozens of tables set up along Chancellor's Walk. If you have large items that you need to drop off before parking, you can continue along Price Drive (off of Riegel Road) until you reach the back of the Computer Information Systems Building. That is the closest drop-off point between visitor parking and Chancellor's Walk.

Lunch: All agency participants will receive a light lunch sponsored by our partnernship offices (see above). There will be vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, drinks, and dessert.

Schedule: The Fair starts at 10am, so please plan to arrive between 9:30am and 9:45am. We will have volunteers on hand to help you set up your display/table and to help you carry items from your car as needed. We will also have volunteers available at 1pm to help you pack up.

Set-up: Each agency will have a table and two chairs. We cannot provide tents or shade, unfortunately, so you are encouraged to bring sunscreen or your own tent/umbrella. We will have tape on hand, but encourage you to bring paper weights so that your papers and materials do not fly away.

Information for Students

You are encouraged to stop by and talk to representatives from agencies during the event. See what their agency does and how you might help. Also check on internship and volunteer opportunities.
