Permanent record
The permanent record is the official educational record of the student's
academic achievement and is maintained in the office of the Registrar.
A transcript is a copy of this record and is issued at the request
of the student to communicate academic information about the student
to another institution, to an agency, or to an individual. Institutions
may provide transcripts of students to those designated school officials
(advisors, department chairpersons, deans, etc.) within the institution
who have a legitimate educational interest in the student.
In compliance
with the Family Educational
Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended,
or the Buckley Amendment, faculty may not release a transcript or
information from the transcript to another individual, agency, or institution
without
the written consent of the student.
