Each of the university's nearly 20 different UNCW Alert tools will be deployed as warranted by each unique emergency situation. Up-to-date information will be added to the best sources as the situations warrants. Below is a sample of some of the ways the university may communicate in an emergency.

- Cable interruption message on all campus channels
