On Friday, April 19th Watson College will host a UNCW STEM Showcase as a satellite event of the NC Science Festival which is being held state-wide during April 5-21, 2013 http://www.ncsciencefestival.org/2013_event/uncw-showcase
Cohort 3 (2012-2013)
Congratulations to Nicole Martin for a successful presentation at the 2013 NCSTA Professional Development Institute Conference in Winston-Salem. She presented along with UNCW faculty and staff (Roger Shew of the Geology Department and Dennis Kubasko of WCE).
The presentation was titled Coastal Zone Issues: The Intersection of Science, Politics and Economics and Island Ecology for Educators. Nicole also had the opportunity to assist Dr. Dennis Kubasko, Dr. Amy Taylor and Lindsey Baker in their presentation of Island Ecology for Educators: Using Coastal Resources to Engage Students at the same conference.
