Giving Flight Certificate for New Employees

Are you in your first year of employment at UNCW? Do you want to make your first year at UNCW as successful and rewarding as possible? With your supervisor’s approval, HR Learning & Talent Development can help! 

What is it?

This monthly 4-part series (3 hours each) equips new employees with strategies and tools designed to increase communication, collaboration, problem solving, and sharing of new ideas.

Who should join?

If you are someone who is looking to get the most out of their UNCW experience and apply strategies and tools to their every day work life and share them with others, then this program is for you. To maximize the experience, participants and their supervisor must also be willing to complete Gallup’s StrengthsFinder and SELF Profile assessments.

Why should I apply?

There are a lot of reasons to apply for this certification. These include but are not limited to:

  • Identify your strengths and preferred communication style through two assessments
  • Structure & conduct courageous conversations
  • Equip yourself with five tools that allow your ideas to be heard and increase buy-in
  • Lay out your UNCW Talent Development Plan
