High Impact Teaching

As the Center for Teaching Excellence continues to work towards highlighting and supporting the techniques and practices of UNCW’s outstanding professors, we hope that you’ll take advantage of our efforts by participating in our new initiative known as High Impact Teaching. As of now, we have several of these features available. The High Impact Teaching components include:

• Master Teachers Tackle the Issues (several choices available)
  Podcasts featuring a few of your experienced colleagues as they speak about common challenges professors face.
  

• Your Colleagues in Action
  These videos provide footage taken from the front seats of engaging and successful UNCW classrooms.
  

• Visit your Colleague in Action (many professors have offered to host)
  Hosting professors have agreed to make their classes open to visiting colleagues.

•  Master Teachers Tell Their Stories
  Watch these videos of veteran professors as they share their unique stories, challenges and insights.
  

• Things Students Want You to Know
  You guessed it . . . the CTE will poll students for their insights and suggestions as to what characterizes an engaging and motivating educational experience.

  A news feed featuring teaching tips and strategies culled from a variety of resources.
