About the Conference on Men & Masculinity

The UNCW annual Conference on Men and Masculinity is an annual event for all students who are interested in developing a deeper understanding of masculinity and the issues surrounding masculinity. This conference has a specific focus on engaging men with regard to personal growth and development but encourages all interested participants to attend. This year's conference will be the 12th annual and will take place on March 25th, 2017. 

This Year's Areas of Focus:

  • Leadership Experiences: Engage with fellow leaders and develop a deeper understanding of leadership.
  • Resume Building: Connect with the Career Center and other professionals to improve your resume and interview skills.
  • Identity Development: Learn from others and reflect on your experiences, values and beliefs in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Relationship Skills: Develop a better understanding of interpersonal relationships with your peers and professional staff. 
  • Critical Thinking Experience: Dive into your time at UNCW by developing the ability to think and engage on a deeper level.
  • Community Development: Realize and connect with our community.
  • Insight into Men's Health: Engage with practitioners from a number of health-related fields.
