Master of Arts in Conflict Management and Resolution
The Master of Arts in Conflict Management and Resolution, housed in the Department of Public & International Affairs in the College of Arts & Sciences, is a multidisciplinary, terminal professional degree designed to: assist both students and working professionals with a variety of undergraduate disciplines in understanding and responding to a variety of conflict settings, including interpersonal conflict, third-party facilitation and mediation and larger group conflict, and gain the skills required to facilitate high conflict meetings and scenarios. The goal of the program is to give graduates the knowledge and skill set to manage conflict in diverse environments. This new program is a response to increasing demand at both international and domestic levels for core skills in conflict management and as such appeals in substance and format to both civilian and active military students.

Applicants must have a strong academic record in any field with an overall GPA of 3.00, or a "B" average, or the equivalent professional experience.
In addition to admission to UNCW Graduate School, admission requirements include: Copy of official transcripts of all college work (undergraduate and graduate)
A 500-word essay on the applicants goal in pursuing graduate work in conflict management and resolution
Three recommendations from individuals in professionally relevant fields
